Choose To Reinvent!

How To Choose Reinvention

Change without transition only serves to recreate old scenarios and reinforce old behavior patterns.

Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Each time a major shift happens in our lives such as chronic illness, leaving a job or a relationship, moving, losing a loved one, we have to think about who we will become or risk never reaching our full potential through life's lessons. Some of the experiences of life come to us as challenges or obstacles that may be unpleasant at times. However, each offers an opportunity to grow and gain more wisdom.
Many of us have reinvented ourseves several times in life, but what we forget is that we have to choose reinvention. Each time we do this, a new path unfolds deliberately and with foresight. When we wait for our future to find us, it is empty, confusing, and becomes tangled up in a situation we did not want. We have to stop focusing on the limiting beliefs that we have developed over the course of many years of other people's opinions. Without allowing ourselves to truly experience these life changing events,we lose the real message behind it and often wonder why it keeps repeating itself. Everything happens for a reason! If we are too uncomfortable to stay the course through transition, too anxious to fix the problem, we may lose its accompanying transformative effect. Change is a time for reinvention
Change without transition may only serve to recreate old scenarios and reinforce old patterns of behavior. For change to have a salutary effect on us, we must try learning to effectively work with it and not to run the other way when it presents itself. When we allow or accept the changes in life, letting them flow, wisdom will truly unfold along with more opportunities in life.
Despite what you think or what you have been told by others, there are things that are specifically unique to each and everyone of us. We all have unique blend of talents and special attributes, so if we let ourselves conform to the role that society wants us to play then you are really subverting that uniqueness. Reinvention is about allowing changes to take place and taking back your individuality by focusing on how you will live your life.

Cheers!
